Cucumber Garden - Woolly Living Wall Planter

74.99

Get ready to eat a lot of cucumbers or do some pickling because these plants can produce. This cucumber plant is unbelievably compact, making it a great choice for vertical gardens or containers! Bears early, white-spined, 5-in. cukes with the classic pickle look in half the space needed by most vines. Cool, mild flavor. Scab and mosaic-tolerant plants.

This Kit will come with a Planter (8" tall x 11.75" wide) in your choice of color, the best potting soil for your plants, AND the plants described above.

This planter is made from a hard vented plastic shell that keeps its shape while allowing air circulation for the plants. It is also equipped with a self-watering tank to make watering even easier.

More about the Planter...

Drip Irrigation

For large installations, we recommend using automatic drip irrigation. 1/4” emitter lines fit inside the watering tank, emitting water evenly down to roots and reservoir. Supply lines hide neatly in the irrigation supply channel located on the left and right sides of every wall planter.

More about the Plants...

The fruit on these plants are up to 4½" long and 1½" across at maturity but you can harvest and eat them at any size. This is a very productive plant with the added benefit of not vining out and taking up as much space as most cucumber plants.

  • Soil & Water: pH of 6.0-6.8. Water deeply, but don't over water
  • Harvesting & Storage: Harvest the first fruits early to encourage continued production through the season. Cut (don't pull) the fruit from the stems. If grown indoors, you will need to pollinate the flowers by hand. Thorough instructions will come with your plants. Don’t worry, this is fun and easy.
  • Zones: 3 - 9 annual
  • Height: 6-8 inches
  • Spacing: 12-18 inches between plants
  • Sun/Shade: Full sun
  • Germination: 8-10 days
  • Days To Maturity: 45
